A robot broke a 7-year-old boy's finger during a chess game in Moscow

A robot broke a seven-year-old boy's finger during a chess game in Moscow last week, Russian media reports, according to the BBC.

"The robot broke a finger of the child," Sergei Lazarev, president of the Moscow Chess Federation, told the Tass news agency. "It's a bad thing," he added.

A video shared on social media shows the robot taking one of the boy's pieces. The boy then makes his own move and the robot grabs his finger.

Four adults rush to help the boy, who is eventually removed from the gaming table.

Lazarev stated that previously the robot had played many matches without incident.

The boy managed to finish the chess tournament, reports Tass.
